“他不想跟我玩！

“不要紧的，” 王后说。
\"大众You start school tomorrow.
“来日诰日你就要开始上学了。
You'll have lots of friends to play with there.\"大众

Next day, at school,

the Little Princess put her hat and coat on her peg ...
小公主把她的帽子和外套挂在挂钩上 ...
...and went to play with the other children.

Molly and Polly were skipping.

When Agnes came along, the Little Princess smiled.

\"大众Can I play with you?\"大众 asked the Little Princess.

\"大众No!\公众 said Willy, and he went to play with Molly, Polly and Agnes.
“不要！
”威利说，然后他跑去和茉莉，珀利和艾格尼丝玩耍了。”
The Little Princess stood sadly by herself.
小公主一个人站在那里，很伤心。
Then she saw another girl standing by herself.
然后她看到另一个小女孩也是独自站在那里。
\"大众Nobody will play with me,\公众 said the Little Princess.
“没人会和我玩的，”小公主说。
\"大众Nor with me,\公众 said the other girl.
“也没人和我玩，”另一个女孩说。
There were lots of children standing by themselves.
还有很多的孩子也都独自站在那里。
\"大众Nobody will play with us,\"大众 said the Little Princess.
“没人会和我们玩的，”小公主说。
\"大众Or us!\"大众 said the lots of children.
“也没有人和我们玩！
”很多小朋友也这么说。
The Little Princess and all the other children with no friends shared their sweets and fruits.
于是小公主和所有没有朋友的小朋友们一起分享糖果和水果。
\公众I wish I had a friend,\"大众 they all said.
“我真希望能有个朋友，”他们都这么说。
They all played Tag together.
他们一起玩Tag游戏。
\公众It would be more fun if we had some friends,\"大众 they all said.
“如果有我们有些朋友就更好玩了，”他们这么说。
In the classroom, all the children with no friends sat together.
到了教室里，所有没有朋友的孩子们坐在一起。
Some other children with no friends joined in.
其他没有朋友的孩子也加入进来了。
\"大众Don't worry about having no friends,\公众
“别担心没有朋友这件事，”
said the Little Princess to the other girl.
小公主跟一个女孩说道。
It's not so bad.\"大众
没什么大不了的。”
\"大众It's not so bad,\"大众 said all the others.
“是啊，实在没什么大不了的，”其他人也都异口同声这么说。
At going home time,
回家的韶光到了，
all the children with no friends helped each other with their coats and hats.
没有朋友的孩子们相互帮对方穿着衣帽。
When the Little Princess put on her hat,
当小公主戴上她的帽子的时候，
Molly, Polly, Agnes and Willy gasped:
茉莉，珀利，艾格尼丝和威利惊叫：
\"大众GOSH, SHE'S A PRINCESS!\公众
“天哪，她是公主！

The Little Princess turned to all the other children with no friends.
小公主转身面向那些没有朋友的孩子们。
\公众Would you like come home to tea?\公众 she said.
“你们想去我家喝杯茶吗？”她问道。
\"大众Yes, please,\"大众 they said.
“当然啦，拜托啦，”他们答道。
\"大众Can we come,too?\"大众 said Molly, Polly, Agnes and Willy.
“我们也可以一起去吗？”茉莉，珀利，艾格尼丝和威利问。
The Little Princess frowned her terrible frown.
小公主的眉头皱了起来。
\"大众All right,\"大众 she said. \"大众Come on.\"大众
“好吧，”她说。“一起来吧。”
\公众Goodness!\"大众 said the Queen.
“我的老天！
”女王说。
\"大众Who are all these children?\"大众
“这些孩子都是谁啊？”
\公众My friends,\"大众 said the Little Princess.
“我的朋友们呀，”小公主愉快地说。
