23. The New Car 新车
Narrator:（Peppa Pig先容）：
I’m Peppa pig.我是佩奇。
This is my little brother, George.这是我的弟弟乔治。
This is Mummy Pig. 这是我的妈妈。

The New Car 新车
I love our car! And our car loves us, too! Don't you?
Narrator: Today, Peppa and her family are going for a drive in their red car. 本日，佩奇一家开着赤色小车准备出游。
Daddy Pig: Shall we have the roof down? 把车篷放下来好吗？
Peppa: Yes, please! 好的，爸爸！

All: Ready! 好了！
Daddy Pig: Then let's go! 我们出发咯！

Narrator: Oh, dear, the car does not sound very well. 哦，糟糕，车子彷佛出了点问题。
Daddy Pig: Hmm! 嗯！
Peppa: What's wrong, Daddy? 怎么了，爸爸？
Daddy Pig: Hmmm! Er... l don't know. 嗯！

Narrator: Granddad Dog runs the garage. He is very good at mending cars. 狗爷爷开了家修车厂，他很善于修理汽车。
Granddad Dog: Woof! Oh, dear, Daddy Pig! 汪！

Your car does not sound very well. 你的车子听上去有点问题。
Daddy Pig: Can you fix it, please, Granddad Dog? 叨教你有没有办法修睦它呢？
Granddad Dog: Yes......but it will take all day. 当然…但是这须要一整天。
All: Ohhh... 哦。。。。。。
Peppa: We wanted to go for a drive in our car. 我们本来是想开车出去兜风的。
Granddad Dog: Woof! Don't worry. 汪！

Daddy Pig: Thank you, Granddad Dog. 真是太感谢你了。

Granddad Dog: Woof! When you come back, I will have fixed your car. 汪！

Daddy Pig: There are so many buttons in this new car. 这辆新车有好多按钮啊。

Peppa: Magic windows! 原来是神奇的窗户！

Peppa and George: Ohh. 哦。

Narrator: Daddy Pig has forgotten which button closes the roof. 猪爸爸忘了是哪个按钮可以升起车篷。

Mummy Pig: Let's try the red button. 试试这个赤色按钮。
All: Hurray! 好耶！
Mummy Pig: But now it's stopped raining. 但是现在雨已经停了。
Peppa: Can we open the roof again? 我们能把车篷再打开吗？
Daddy Pig: Er, yes. which button was it? 好的，是哪个按钮？

Narrator: Granddad Dog has fixed the car. 狗爷爷已经把车子修睦了。

1. Go for a drive
Peppa一家人兴趣勃勃的钻进小汽车里，准备出游去。Today, Peppa and her family are going for a drive in their red car. 本日，Peppa一家开着赤色的小汽车出门了。
Take a drive 开车。你们家在周末的时候是不是都要开着小汽车出去玩呢？My family always go for a drive in our car on weekends.
2. Take it to
嘟嘟，大家一起上开着小汽车愉快极了，结果车溘然坏了。爸爸一筹莫展的样子，妈妈说let’s take it to Granddad Dog’s Garage. He can fix it. 我们把它开到Granddad Dog的修车厂去吧，他能修。Take it to是把它带到哪里去的意思。
比如，来日诰日学校上课，老师哀求带一个苹果到学校，The teacher asked you to take an apple to the school. 或者妈妈让你给奶奶带一条围巾去，Mummy asked you to take a scarf to Granny.
3. Fix
妈妈说为什么要把车开到Grandad Dog的修车厂去呢？由于He can fix it. 他能修理。Fix是修理的意思。
家里的东西坏了是不是都要修理，fix呢？比如电脑坏了就要fix the computer，风扇坏了就要fix the fan，空调坏了就要fix the air-conditioner。
4. Take all day
爸爸问Granddad Dog，能把车修睦吗？Can you fix it , Granddad Dog? Granddad Dog说Yes, but it will take all day. 能修啊，但是得花上一整天的韶光呢。Take all day花上一整天的韶光。
你有哪些事情得花上一整天的韶光呢？
It will take all day to visit a zoo。参不雅观动物园得花上一整天的韶光
It will take all day to fix the broken clock。修理这个坏掉的钟得花上一整天的韶光。
5. Press this red button
Granddad Dog问Peppa他们要不要把汽车的顶棚放下来，Peppa赶忙说Yes, please. Granddad Dog就说I’ll just press this red button. 那我要按这个赤色的按钮。
Press button是按按钮的意思。还有哪些地方须要按按钮呢？
坐电梯的时候，是不是要按升降的按钮呢？You must press the button to take the elevator. 坐电梯前，先要按按钮。
我们进出银行的自动柜员厅，是不是也要按开门的按钮呢？We must press the button to open the door. 我们必须要按按钮才能开门。
6. What does the button do?
Granddad Dog借给Peppa他们的小汽车里有好多的按钮，Peppa对这些按钮非常好奇，于是问爸爸What does the green button do, Daddy? 这些绿颜色的按钮是用来干嘛的啊？爸爸说Let’s see. 让我们来看看吧。
你是不是也是一个满脑袋各种问题的小家伙呢？下次，如果你想知道马路上的traffic lights（红绿灯）是干嘛的，就可以跟爸爸说，What do the traffic lights do, Daddy? 或者你跟妈妈一起读书，不知道author（作者）是什么意思，那就问问妈妈，What does the author do, Mummy?
7. Can we keep it?
Peppa和George非常喜好这辆聪明的新车，喜滋滋的对妈妈说I love this new car. Can we keep it? 我喜好这辆新车，我们能留下它吗？keep是保留的意思。
如果你跟妈妈去逛书店，看到一本自己好喜好的书，那就赶紧问妈妈I love this book. Can I keep it? 或者看到一个自己好喜好的玩具，也可以问妈妈I love this toy. Can I keep it?
Granddad Dog把车修睦了。爸爸非常高兴，对Granddad Dog说Thank you, Granddad Dog, and keep the change. 感激你，Grandad Dog，不用找零给我了。
Keep the change，把零钱收好吧，不用找零钱给我了。由于外国有给小费的习气，以是好多时候就直接把找零的零头当作小费给为他们做事的人。Keep the change不用找零钱给我们了，可是他们每天挂在嘴边的说法哦。
