I’m deep impressed by what has been described in chapter IV. I think it is apparent that people will grumble at the painful experience, and so do Robinson will also complain about the suffering that why should he suffer these miseries and live in such a lonely place. But he soon dismissed these thoughts because he realized that he was the only one who survived and god must blessing him and made him still alive. Then he struggled for living in the island, always keep a positive attitude in life, he hunting and making house by himself, and what surprised me most is that he can be deliberate when he face every problems. Foe instance, his tent was damaged by violent storm but he never give up and rebuild it, his boat was fall apart and then he made another small one. Even he suffered a lot he still has a warm heart, and saved a person who was called “FRIDAY”. I think that was why this book is so popular and affected generation after generation, it wants to tell us what should we do when we are in trouble, and what life should we live.()
Look from the surface of the novel, it is a miracle of adventure story. However, behind this story the implication was that human beings are faced with problems, it also hidden the people’s common aspirations and dreams such as the yearning for freedom、solitary raft across oceans、hero dream and self-reliance in the world. The novel also inspire the readers that if there is no risk, then there will be no success. I think every country need the same morality as Robinson has, we should be more brave and more self-reliance.
We are now living in a varied world, everything is changeable, we should accept and face the problem and we also should have a positive and optimistic heart.
