大家小的时候有没有被一个问题困扰过？便是在问别人年事的时候用你几岁了，还是用你多少岁？
当然现今社会，公开问别人的年事是一件很不礼貌的事。但在我小的时候，被问年事是稀松平常的事。如果是长辈问小孩几岁了。但是小时候还会被教导怎么跟大人谈天，当然可能会碰着问一位老者年事的情形。
小时候我问我奶奶，您几岁了？然后被大人纠正，这样是不礼貌的。好吧，连续问，您多少岁了？勉强，还是不足礼貌，直到学会问：您遐龄了？
One day , some friends were talking. They were talking about how old they were.
有一天，小伙伴们在一起谈天。他们谈天的内容是关于他们的年事。
James said,"I am seven years old. My brother is older. He is twice as old as me, How old is my brother?"
詹姆士说：“我今年7岁了，我哥哥比我大一些。他的年事是我的一倍，他几岁了？”
"That's easy," said Ellen. "You are seven. He is twice as old as you. So, your brother is seven plus seven. He is fourteen years old."
“这个太随意马虎了。”艾伦说。“你今年7岁，他比你大一倍，以是，你哥哥的年事是7加上7 ，他今年14岁了。”
Then Jane said," I am eight. I have a baby sister. She is half my age. How old is my sister?"
然后简说：“我今年8岁了。我有一个小妹妹。她的年事是我的一半，叨教她几岁了？”
"That so easy!" yelled James. "She is half of eitht. So ,your sister is four years old."
“这个太随意马虎了。”詹姆斯喊道：“她的年事是8的一半，以是你妹妹的年事是4岁。”
Chris was thinking hard. There was something on his mind. Then, he asked,"How old is a dinosaur?"
克瑞斯正在沉思。有个问题一贯在他的脑中盘旋。然后，他问：“你们说，一只恐龙有几岁？”
"A diosaur?!" said the puzzled children.
“恐龙？”这个问题可把孩子们难住了。
"Yes. How old is a dinosaur?" said Chris again.
“是的，一只恐龙能有多少岁？”克瑞斯再次提出问题。
The children thought really hard.
孩子们很努力地在思考这个问题。
"A dinosaur is old--- very old," said Ellen. "A dinosaur is millions of years old. A dinosaur is old,old,old!"
“恐龙的年事一定，很老，很老。”艾伦说。“一只恐龙恐怕得有上百万年的历史。恐龙的年事非常非常非常老。”
The children laughed. James said. "A dinosaur is older than all of us combined!"
孩子们都笑了。詹姆士说：“一只恐龙的年事比我们所有人加在一起都要老呢。！
