我是一滴水，一滴平凡的水
我来自山川，来自江河湖海
I am a drop of water, an ordinary drop of water
I come from mountains, rivers,lakes and oceans

来自大兴安岭
I come from the Himalayas
And from the Daxing'an Mountains
我默默地撒向草丛和树叶
为的只是那片滴翠
I drip silently on the grass and leaves
Only for that dripping green
那片金色的喜悦
还有那姹紫嫣红的天下
For the golden joy
And for the colorful world
无论在野外还是森林
无论在城镇还是村落庄
Whether in the field or in the forest
Whether in towns or in the countryside
无论在高山还是平原
无论在草原还是戈壁沙漠
Whether in mountains or plains
Whether in grasslands or in the Gobi Desert
都有我的足迹和身影
There are my footprints and figure

那是我生生不息的神往

I envy the peace and tranquility of the lake
That's my hometown where I linger long
我欣赏瀑布的绚丽多彩
那是我奋斗拼搏的乐章
I appreciate the splendor of the waterfall
Which is the music of my struggle
我把爱洒向天空
天空就挂满七色彩虹
I sprinkle my love into the sky
And the sky is full of rainbows
我把情留给沙漠
沙漠就长出迷人的绿洲
I leave my love to the desert
And there a charming oasis appears

有东风相伴，我不寂寞
有夏雨鼓励，我不沮丧

我没有珍珠那么宝贵
没有黄金那么刺目耀眼
没有钻石那么残酷
I am not as precious as pearls
I’m not as dazzling as gold
And I’m not as bright as diamonds
但我相信，只要有我在
耕地就不会变成荒原
人间就不会有饥荒
But I believe that as long as I am here
The cultivated land will not become desert
And there will be no famine in the world
只要有我在
千年铁树也能着花
万年枯木也能萌芽
As long as I am here
Thousand-year-old sago cycas can blossom
And dead trees of ten thousand years can sprout

没有人欣赏，没有人赞颂
没有人倾慕，更没有人歌颂

No one will appreciate me and no one will eulogize
No one will envy me and no one will sing the praises
但我不自卑也不自暴自弃
But I don't feel inferior and I won’t give up

在繁荣的背后
