张雨生可以算是一个音乐天才，他很年轻就已经是创作歌手、作词人、作曲家、音乐制作人；他又以聲音高亢著稱，成名曲為《我的未來不是夢》，其音樂創作風格多變，故有「音樂魔術師」之稱。可惜天妒英才，1997年由于疲倦驾驶，发生车祸，不幸逝世，享年只有31岁。
