2、wane：衰落，变小。说到wane就不得不提一个习语“wax and wane”，可以表示增减交替，暗指玉轮的盈亏。举两个例子：（1）As the moon waxes and wanes, so does the height of the tide change.（2）The government's popularity has waxed and waned over the past year.
3、e'en[i:n]：便是even。英诗中的常见用法，目的是把双音节变成单音节，方便布局音步和格律。类似的还有o'er=over，oft=often等等。
